Denis Popescu și Vlad Mihalache, în semifinale la 100 m fluture

Romania will have two representatives in the semifinals of the 100m butterfly event, with Denis Popescu and Vlad Mihalache qualifying from the heats. Popescu set a new national record of 51.44 seconds, finishing third in his heat, while Mihalache won his heat with a time of 52.07 seconds. Other Romanian swimmers, Matei State and Darius Coman, competed in the 200m breaststroke but did not advance.
