Delgaz Grid: Energie în valoare de 14,5 milioane de lei, furată în primele 8 luni

In the first eight months of this year, over 1,000 cases of energy theft were reported in 20 counties served by Delgaz Grid, resulting in damages exceeding 14.5 million lei. The majority of cases involved electricity theft, with a 16% increase compared to last year. In Moldova, more than 550 individuals were found to have tampered with electrical installations, while nearly 450 cases of unauthorized gas interventions were noted in Transylvania and Banat. The total illegal energy consumption reached approximately 15 million kWh. Delgaz Grid warns that unauthorized interventions pose significant risks, including explosions and electrocutions, and emphasizes that energy theft is a criminal offense. The company encourages consumers to avoid unauthorized modifications and report any suspicions of fraud.
