Deficitul României a scăzut la 2% din PIB, dar rămâne la 41 de miliarde de lei

Romania's budget deficit decreased to 2% of GDP in the first half of 2026, down from 3.64% in 2025, totaling 41 billion lei. This reduction is attributed to increased state revenues, which rose by 10.3% to 342.52 billion lei. While expenditures slightly increased to 383.55 billion lei, their share of GDP fell from 19.85% to 18.66%. Personnel costs decreased due to salary measures, while spending on goods and services rose, particularly in healthcare. Investment expenditures saw a significant rise, largely funded by EU resources.
