Deficitul bugetar al României a scăzut la 2% din PIB. Urmează testul agențiilor de rating

Romania's budget deficit decreased to 2% of GDP in the first half of 2026, down from 3.64% in 2025. This reduction is significant as it comes ahead of a crucial rating assessment by Fitch Ratings on July 31, 2026. The Ministry of Finance reported a nominal deficit of 41.03 billion lei, supported by a 10.3% increase in state revenues. Total expenditures rose slightly, but as a percentage of GDP, they fell, indicating fiscal consolidation. The government aims to maintain its investment-grade rating, which affects borrowing costs and investor confidence. Public investments also increased, aided by European funds, highlighting the importance of fiscal stability for economic growth.
