Deficitul bugetar a coborât la 2,34% din PIB în 7 luni

The Ministry of Finance reported a significant reduction in the budget deficit for the first seven months of 2026, dropping to 2.34% of GDP. This marks a decrease of 28.36 billion lei compared to the same period in 2025, reflecting a 37% nominal reduction. Revenue growth of 11.2% was noted, while total expenditures increased by only 2.9%. The rise in tax revenues, particularly from VAT and property taxes, contributed to this improvement.
