Deficit de zahăr pe piețele mondiale. Cotațiile pe bursă au ajuns la un maxim istoric
Global sugar supply is projected to face a significant deficit, reaching 6.28 million tons in the 2026/2027 season due to poor production in major producing countries. Analysts attribute this to adverse weather conditions, particularly the El Nino phenomenon affecting Brazil, India, and the EU. Brazil's sugar output is down 14% compared to last year, while EU forecasts have been lowered by 228,000 tons. India's early processing of sugarcane is expected to reduce yields further. Consequently, sugar prices have surged to a 19-month high.
