Minister Mihai Dimian highlighted the disparity in teacher availability, noting a high number of candidates for teaching positions but a shortage in specific subjects like physics and technology. Despite 40,000 candidates applying annually, there are fewer than 10,000 positions available, leading to a significant deficit in qualified teachers. This issue is not unique to Romania, as many regions face similar challenges in filling technical and specialized roles. Dimian anticipates an increase in demand for IT professionals due to current employment stagnation in the sector.
