Although there was a 4.7% recovery from April, May's figures show a 15% drop year-on-year. The capital goods sector significantly contributed to this decline, with a 19.1% decrease. In contrast, the energy sector saw a 21.8% increase. The automotive industry experienced the largest drop at 31.6%. Overall, Brașov's industrial performance lags behind the national average, which only saw a 1.6% decline during the same period. Major contributors to the local industrial turnover include companies like Autoliv and Vitesco Technologies.
