He was involved in a hit-and-run accident in September 2025, injuring a tennis player. Dumitrescu is prohibited from driving for three years and must comply with probation conditions. He was previously convicted in 2021 for driving under the influence of drugs. The court also imposed a fine of 4500 lei for judicial costs.
