Decizie de ultim moment: Canicula obligă ELCEN să oprească CET Grozăvești
ELCEN has temporarily shut down the cogeneration unit at CET Grozăvești due to high cooling water temperatures, ensuring no impact on hot water supply in Bucharest. The decision aims to protect equipment and prevent major failures. The cooling water from the Argeș River reached 27-30 degrees Celsius, risking overheating of turbine bearings. CET Progresu will resume operations to boost electricity production. The shutdown does not affect consumers, as hot water supply is maintained through a Hot Water Boiler. ELCEN will monitor conditions for a safe restart of the turbine.
