Russia has extended its diesel export ban until the end of October, impacting global fuel prices amid ongoing supply issues. This decision aims to stabilize the domestic market during a high demand period. The global fuel deficit and rising prices, particularly in the U.S., have raised concerns, especially with the upcoming midterm elections. Russia has previously restricted fuel exports to manage price increases and shortages caused by conflicts and drone attacks on its refineries. Normally the second-largest diesel exporter, Russia has already reduced its exports this summer.
