President Putin has signed a decree allowing the Russian state to take control of critical infrastructure deemed vulnerable to Ukrainian drone attacks. This measure enables temporary state administration of facilities if their operators fail to protect them adequately. The decree covers energy, industrial, communication, and transport sectors, among others. Deputy Prime Minister Manturov clarified that this does not equate to nationalization but allows state intervention for security issues. Recently, Ukraine has intensified drone strikes on major retail facilities in Russia.
