Decizia lui Putin. Ce se întâmplă cu una dintre cele mai mari bănci occidentale care încă mai activa în Rusia
Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the reorganization and subsequent sale of UniCredit's Russian subsidiary, following a decree from the Kremlin. This move comes amid restrictions on transactions involving assets owned by investors from countries deemed "unfriendly" by Russia. UniCredit has remained one of the largest Western banks operating in Russia despite pressure to withdraw after the Ukraine invasion. Earlier in May, the bank announced a non-binding agreement to sell parts of its Russian subsidiary to a private investor from the UAE, retaining only its payment division. The transaction is expected to be completed by mid-2027, pending necessary approvals.
