Liliana Cătălina Alexe, a judge at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, has been suspended following an incident at the High Court of Cassation and Justice. Her appeal against the suspension decision by the Superior Council of Magistracy was rejected by the Supreme Court. The suspension is linked to her previous ruling that halted Romatsa's operations for a month, which raised concerns about her conduct during a related court session. Alexe's request for retirement was also blocked pending the outcome of disciplinary proceedings against her.
