The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) responded to over 400 complaints regarding a viral video by politician Claudiu Târziu, which falsely claimed that digging a well in one's yard could lead to imprisonment. The video misinterpreted a legislative proposal aimed at increasing penalties for illegal industrial water extraction, not affecting private wells. CNA unanimously decided to request the removal of Târziu's content and similar materials from various platforms, citing violations of the law regarding objective public information. The council also urged platforms to identify and eliminate the spread of this misinformation.
