The Romanian institution Apele Române reported that the Danube's flow at Baziaș is currently 1,600 m³/s, with a forecasted decrease to about 1,500 m³/s by August 4. These levels are significantly lower than the July average of 4,750 m³/s and near the historical minimum recorded in 1985. Despite expected rainfall in Austria, it will not significantly affect the river's flow in Romania. Irrigation restrictions remain in place in the Călărași–Cernavodă sector, while the hydrological drought persists in several regions. However, there are no restrictions on water supply for the population, and the main reservoirs are adequately filled.
