„Dealerul” fără firmă cu 75 de anunțuri de vânzare online, 7,2 milioane de lei în mașini vândute și TVA neplătit de peste 1,1 milioane

A man from Argeș County sold 75 cars online without legal registration, accumulating over 7.2 million lei in sales and evading more than 1.1 million lei in VAT. The fraud was uncovered by tax inspectors who traced unregistered sales from May 2022 to January 2025. The vehicles were sourced from both Romania and abroad, with deceptive documentation often involving phantom companies. The scheme included various tactics to obscure the true seller's identity, including using acquaintances for registration. This case follows a recent initiative by the tax authority targeting unreported car sales.
