Deaconu prezintă cifrele care demontează miturile "Epocii de Aur"

Historian Ștefan Marius Deaconu analyzed the nostalgia for communism and its myths during the launch of the "Gen Anti-Fake" project. He highlighted discrepancies between nostalgic narratives and actual historical data regarding health care, economic conditions, and education in Romania under Nicolae Ceaușescu. Deaconu emphasized that while some aspects of the communist era may seem positive, such as universal health access, the quality of services was often lacking. He also challenged the notion that Romania was wealthier and more productive during communism, presenting data that contradicted these beliefs. The discussion aimed to dismantle these myths with empathy and factual evidence, acknowledging the complex feelings of those who lived through that period.
