Brazil remained the largest supplier, providing 34% of imports, followed by Vietnam at 20%. Germany and Italy led in coffee imports, with Germany importing over 1 million tons. The EU's coffee production also increased by 12% since 2015, reaching over 2.2 million tons, with a production value nearing €19 billion. The concentration of imports from a few countries makes the European market sensitive to global supply changes.
