The TruCAM II radars used by the Romanian Police can record speeding vehicles without needing to stop the driver. The e-SIGUR system allows for automatic recording and later identification of the driver for issuing fines. Ultimately, there is no single distance applicable to all radars; compliance with speed limits is what protects drivers.
