The government has reapproved the investment indicators for a new building for the Pneumology and Infectious Diseases departments at Miercurea-Ciuc County Emergency Hospital. The project aims to increase hospital capacity to 120 beds, with updated costs nearing 240 million lei, significantly higher than the initial estimate. The expansion includes a larger area, doubling the county's financial contribution. The new facility is expected to enhance medical services for patients, as the current departments operate in an outdated building. However, the Harghita County Council faces financial challenges with multiple ongoing projects and is at risk of insolvency without government support.
