Starting August 1, drivers in Bulgaria will face a 30% increase in vignette prices for all vehicle categories, marking the first price adjustment since 2019. This hike comes during the busy summer travel season, with annual vignettes costing nearly 65 euros and shorter-term options also rising. The Bulgarian government justifies the increase as necessary for road infrastructure improvements, expecting additional revenue of over 22 million euros by 2026. Drivers are advised to purchase vignettes only through authorized channels to avoid scams.
