De ce zac de 80 de ani în Dunăre navele de război germane. Unele au încă muniție la bord și pot exploda
The low water levels of the Danube are revealing German warship wrecks near Prahovo, Serbia, which have remained unrecovered for over 80 years. Efforts to retrieve these vessels have been complicated by the presence of unexploded ordnance and their deteriorated condition. A project supported by the EU aims to recover 21 wrecks that obstruct navigation, with the first recovery expected in 2024. The operation will take four years and involves careful inspection and removal of sediment around the wrecks. The presence of these wrecks causes significant economic losses due to navigation delays.
