De ce s-au supărat americanii pe o conferință despre dezinformare de la Vilnius / Ce am văzut la fața locului

An annual conference on disinformation in Vilnius faced backlash after the Trump administration pressured countries to withdraw sponsorship due to panels depicting the U.S. as a threat. The event, attended by over 600 participants, included discussions on the U.S.'s role in disinformation and its impact on Europe. Notably, a panel titled "U.S. as a FIMI Threat" highlighted concerns about American influence in European politics. Despite the controversy, many American representatives participated, discussing various aspects of disinformation and resilience against propaganda. The conference also showcased efforts by Eastern European governments to combat Russian propaganda. Following U.S. pressure, several sponsors, including Lithuania's Foreign Ministry, withdrew support for the event.
