Although IGSU has two multi-role vessels, operational readiness requires experienced personnel and technical conditions. Recent efforts have been made to recruit qualified staff and conduct training. The FI-FI vessel has begun sea trials, and authorities prioritized crew safety during the incident, as there was no imminent threat to the public. The Gas Lisbon was transporting propane and was located over 22 kilometers from the shore.
