De ce reduce Bulgaria pentru prima dată în 52 de ani producția la centrala nucleară Kozlodui
The Kozloduy nuclear power plant in Bulgaria will reduce its capacity by 120 megawatts due to low water levels in the Danube River. This preventive measure is unprecedented in the plant's 52-year history. Similar reductions have occurred in nuclear plants in Romania and Hungary, which also rely on the Danube's water levels. A working group was formed in July to manage the situation, ensuring safe operations despite the ongoing drought. The plant uses Danube water for cooling non-nuclear components, maintaining its operations and contributing to regional energy security.
