De ce nu merge aerul condiționat în multe trenuri din România. Explicațiile ministrului Transporturilor

Old diesel locomotives, areas without electric supply, and operational errors are the main reasons for non-functioning air conditioning in Romanian trains, according to interim Transport Minister Radu Miruță. He noted that over half of the complaints received were related to air conditioning issues. While air conditioning is mandatory for inter-regio trains, it is not for regio trains. Problems were reported in 15% of cases due to outdated diesel locomotives, and in 40% due to overheating installations. Solutions include software modifications and train reconfiguration during hot days. Additionally, disciplinary actions have been taken against employees for service failures.
