De ce nu ar trebui să strângi frunzele din curte în această toamnă? Greblatul dăunează vegetației • Newsweek România
Leaving fallen leaves in your yard can enhance soil health and act as free mulch. Raking and removing leaves disrupt natural nutrient cycles and may increase fertilizer needs. Experts suggest that unless leaves suffocate grass or cover hard surfaces, it's better to leave them be for the benefit of your garden. Leaves decompose into organic matter, providing nutrients to plants and soil while also serving as insulation and weed deterrents. Removing them can harm local wildlife and necessitate more fertilizer. Shredding leaves is less harmful than complete removal, but intact leaves are more beneficial for the ecosystem. Raking is acceptable on hard surfaces or when leaves are excessively thick on lawns, but ideally, they should be left to decompose naturally.
