The Bahrain Grand Prix will take place in Malaysia at the Sepang circuit due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Originally scheduled for April, the race was canceled but has been rescheduled for October 2-4, 2026. This change also led to the cancellation of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The decision to host the race in Malaysia was made to facilitate logistics, as Sepang is close to Singapore, allowing for consecutive race weekends. Despite being held in Malaysia, the event will officially retain the Bahrain Grand Prix name due to an agreement between the involved parties. Gulf Air will continue as the main sponsor and will offer direct flights for attendees.
