De ce li se cere acum românilor să consume mai puțină energie seara. Ce se întâmplă în rețea după ora 20:00? • Newsweek România
Romanian authorities are urging consumers to reduce energy usage in the evening due to increased pressure on the power grid. The situation is exacerbated by high temperatures, drought, and the shutdown of Cernavodă Unit 1. Solar energy production drops significantly after 8 PM, while demand remains high as people return home and use appliances. The government is negotiating with industrial consumers to shift their energy-intensive processes to off-peak hours. Currently, Romania imports around 1,700 MW in the evenings, and voluntary reductions could provide an additional 100-200 MW. The energy crisis is further complicated by low water levels in the Danube and ongoing maintenance at Cernavodă.
