De ce îmbătrânesc bărbaţii mai repede decât femeile
A recent study from China reveals that men and women age differently, with men showing significant metabolic changes between ages 35 and 45, while women experience major changes during menopause, between 55 and 65. The research analyzed medical data from over 104,000 adults and identified key aging markers in blood. It found that certain substances in the blood, like glucose and lipids, correlate with accelerated biological aging. Encouragingly, some aging effects may be reversible, as shown by the protective effects of metformin and dietary changes in mice. The findings highlight the need for gender-specific health interventions throughout life.
