INHGA's Marius Mătreață explains that the river's current flow is among the lowest recorded in decades, affecting the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's operations. Authorities have taken unprecedented measures to redirect water to the plant. The situation is expected to improve only after mid-August, depending on weather forecasts. Mătreață also refutes claims that Austria and Germany are hoarding water, emphasizing that current levels are below those of previous drought years.
