De ce doi oameni de aceeași vârstă îmbătrânesc diferit? Descoperirea importantă făcută de cercetători
A recent study reveals that the aging of the immune system may explain why some individuals maintain health into old age while others face chronic diseases earlier. Researchers analyzed over 12 million immune cells from more than 2,600 adults aged 20 to 90, identifying two types of T cells based on the proteins they secrete. Cells producing granzyme K indicate a strong and flexible immune system, while those producing granzyme B suggest accelerated wear and a higher risk of health issues. This research highlights the difference between chronological and biological age, showing that immune profiles can vary significantly among individuals of the same age.
