De ce candidații buni renunță primii la căutarea unui job

A Swedish study reveals that candidates seeking skilled jobs tend to give up faster than those applying for unskilled positions. While unskilled job seekers maintain their application rate for a year, skilled job seekers see a decline in their efforts over time. Initially, skilled candidates receive twice as many interview invitations, but their chances decrease after a year, unlike their unskilled counterparts. Behavioral changes, rather than candidate quality, account for over half of the reduced job prospects. Additionally, younger candidates reduce their job search efforts, while older candidates increase them. Discrimination against long-term unemployed candidates is also noted, particularly in tight labor markets.
