De ce a fost arestat Călin Georgescu. Ce au descoperit judecătorii despre planul din Italia. MOTIVARE • Newsweek România
The Bucharest Court of Appeal justified the preventive arrest of Călin Georgescu, citing risks of evasion and evidence of plans to flee to Italy. Discussions about securing a residence, seeking political asylum, and possession of documents resembling diplomatic credentials were highlighted. The court noted Georgescu's attempts to obtain asylum for himself and associates, as well as the presence of jamming equipment in his vehicle. A dissenting judge argued that the evidence did not sufficiently demonstrate a concrete risk of flight. Ultimately, the court deemed the preventive arrest necessary to ensure public order and the integrity of the judicial process, leading to a 30-day detention for Georgescu and his associate Ionel Rusen, amid serious allegations of organized crime and fraud.
