De ce a crescut cursul euro/leu la noi maxime istorice. Explicaţiile date de Banca Centrală • Newsweek România
The Romanian National Bank (BNR) explained the recent rise of the euro against the leu, reaching historic highs. This increase was particularly notable in late September and early October, influenced by interbank interest rates and state bond yields. The BNR noted that the monetary market rates had a linear trend before experiencing significant upward adjustments. Additionally, the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict and domestic political uncertainties contributed to the currency's depreciation. Despite these fluctuations, the BNR maintained the monetary policy interest rate at 6.50%.
