The HR & Payroll Pulse 2026 study reveals that over half of Romanians believe a minimum of 7 to 14 days is necessary for complete recovery. Currently, they receive an average of 24 paid vacation days per year but desire around 31. Many employees face challenges in taking all their vacation days, with only 57% managing to do so last year. The study emphasizes the importance of flexible planning and managerial support in ensuring employees can effectively utilize their vacation time.
