The Brașov Zoo has welcomed two male spotted hyenas and a female Carpathian lynx through European species protection programs. The hyenas, aged 4 and 6, were transferred from Portugal, while the lynx, aged 1, came from Switzerland. These transfers are part of a coordinated effort to manage wild animal populations in European zoos. The new arrivals enhance the zoo's role in conservation and provide visitors with the chance to see diverse species. EAZA oversees these programs to ensure the long-term survival of endangered species across Europe.
