David Popovici qualified for the finals of the 100m freestyle at the European Swimming Championships in Paris, setting a new competition record with a time of 46.72 seconds. He was the fastest in the semifinals, following a strong performance in the heats. The final is scheduled for Wednesday, where he will compete with the best semifinal time. Romania has a total of 11 athletes participating in the championships, supported by a dedicated coaching team.
