David Popovici, în semifinale la 200 metri liber

David Popovici qualified for the semifinals of the 200m freestyle at the 2026 European Swimming Championships, finishing fourth in the heats. He won his heat with a time of 1:46.06 seconds, following his recent victory in the 100m freestyle. Austrian swimmer Christian Giefing had the fastest qualifying time at 1:44.96. British competitor Matthew Richards did not compete in the heats. Romania's Eric-Ștefan Andrieș finished third in his heat but did not advance to the semifinals. The semifinals are scheduled for later today.
