The debt level of Romanian companies to the state budget and social budgets remains high in Q2 2026, reaching 77.6 billion lei. The number of firms with unpaid debts increased to 48,028. Most debts are owed to the state budget, totaling 57.6 billion lei. Bucharest accounts for over 41% of total debts, with 31.9 billion lei.
