Datoria României arată mai bine în proiecțiile Comisiei Europene după consolidarea fiscală
Romania's public debt outlook has improved significantly, with projections for 2035 showing a 15 percentage point decrease compared to previous estimates. This improvement is attributed to ongoing fiscal consolidation, although short-term debt levels are still rising. The analysis by Erste Group Research highlights that Romania's budget deficit is expected to decrease from 9.3% of GDP in 2024 to 7.9% in 2025. Despite the positive trend, Romania faces significant fiscal vulnerabilities and starts from a challenging position compared to other Central and Eastern European countries. The projections indicate that without additional fiscal measures, public debt could exceed 100% of GDP in several neighboring countries within the next decade.
