At the beginning of 2026, Romania's debt for cross-border healthcare reached 265 million euros, primarily owed to Germany and Italy. The debt increased slightly by 0.27% from 2024. In 2025, the CNAS allocated 812 million lei for medical services, with the majority going to creditor states. Most payments were for E125 forms, while a smaller portion covered E127 forms.
