Official data reveals that while the average cost of these buses is around 1,036,846 lei, prices vary dramatically, with Sibiu paying 464,100 lei and Olt 1,562,470 lei. The investigation was initiated after reports indicated that the same type of bus was sold at vastly different prices without technical justifications. The Minister of Education acknowledged the issue, stating that if irregularities are found, accountability will follow. Authorities in Sibiu returned non-compliant buses.
