Databricks has acquired the startup Row Zero to enhance its AI capabilities, particularly its Genie product. The acquisition will introduce a familiar spreadsheet interface for business teams to collaborate and analyze data. Row Zero, founded in 2022, previously raised $10 million and is recognized for its scalable cloud tool. Databricks, co-founded by billionaires Ion Stoica and Matei Zaharia, has recently been valued at $190 billion after a $5 billion funding round. Both Stoica and Zaharia are among the wealthiest Romanians, each with an estimated net worth of $5 billion, according to Forbes.
