Danubius Arena, noua sală polivalentă inaugurată la Tulcea

The Danubius Arena in Tulcea, with over 4,400 seats, has been inaugurated with a 187 million lei investment from the Ministry of Development. The interim minister emphasized the need for such facilities to engage youth in sports. The arena will host the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket 2026, and features various amenities including a training hall and underground parking. This is part of a broader initiative, with five other multi-purpose halls funded in the last five years and five more under construction across Romania.
