Senator Daniel Zamfir criticized interim Defense Minister Radu Miruță for being on vacation while drones were shot down in Romania. He mocked Miruță's command from the beach and called Economy Minister Irineu Darău a 'caricaturist' for praising Miruță. The Ministry of National Defense reported that 18 drones illegally entered Romania since early 2026, with three being shot down recently. Miruță confirmed the last drone was neutralized in five minutes, while Darău expressed gratitude to the pilots and the Ministry.
