Daniel Dăianu spune că S&P nu va trimite România în „junk”: „Dacă vine un Guvern care provoacă derapaj, vom invita retrogradarea”
Daniel Dăianu, the President of the Fiscal Council, expressed confidence that S&P will not downgrade Romania due to significant budget deficit corrections over the past two years. He warned that a potential downgrade could occur if a new government makes reckless budget adjustments. Dăianu highlighted that current budget execution suggests a deficit around 6% of GDP, and emphasized the impact of both internal market dysfunctions and external shocks on fuel prices. He noted that political instability poses a serious threat to institutional effectiveness and fiscal stability. Regarding speculation about his potential premiership, he stressed the importance of continued fiscal correction by any incoming government.
