Daniel Buda, a Romanian MEP, announced that animal exports to third countries will resume within a month after discussions with EU Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi. He emphasized the urgent need for farmers to plan their operations amid current shortages of feed and water. Buda mentioned that the European Commission will provide over 1.3 million doses for vaccinating animals against a specific disease, facilitating exports. He also criticized the exploitation of recent protests in Romania by extremist groups, asserting that farmers' genuine issues require proper solutions rather than politicization.
