Danemarca lansează oficial noul serviciu militar obligatoriu de 11 luni

Denmark officially launched its new mandatory military service lasting 11 months, responding to evolving security threats. Around 1,600 volunteers have been assigned to military centers. The service aims to enhance operational capabilities and create a more agile fighting force. Recruits will undergo basic training for five months before joining operational duties, potentially in Greenland or NATO missions. The government plans to expand military service to include women by 2027, reflecting changing security dynamics due to the Ukraine war. The implementation date was moved up by a year, with a goal to increase annual recruits from 4,500 to 6,500.
